This has been a busy week! 4 days of subbing. 5 days in my new role helping tutor students at our local Muslim Academy, and 4 nights of gathering content for Maple Creek News. This huge red chair and its creator will be featured in next week's paper. Now, to get writing! #freelance #newspaper #maplecreeknews #roadsideattractions #visitleader

This weekend was Elkwater's Wine Festival in the Hills. I think this picture sums up the event. New friends, great wine, delicious food, and a lot of fun. There was live music, nature hikes, beautiful scenery, beer tastings, and a lot of information about wine that was way over my head. @theshopmc wowed us with her menus. Kyle from @andrewhiltonwine was so fun to listen to....and very generous with his wine. @blindmanbrewery actually got me considering drinking beer more. @campcookout fed us a delicious lunch. And #elkwaterlakelodge staff and owner were the perfect hosts. #Buglars restaurant served a fantastic breakfast each morning. ( too bad I couldn't handle the champagne after night 1) Chris from #albertaparks led a nice interpretive walk through the hills and we all appreciated the fresh air. Rob Hudec and @takingaugust entertained us with their talented singing voices. Thanks to @chdestinationa for putting me in charge of welcoming guests. This event was top notch, and I loved seeing all the smiles and hearing the laughter of the guests.
