Yikes, it has been far too long since I’ve written a blog post!
If you follow me on Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube, you’ll know some of the things I am about to talk about.
And if you don’t, you should!
Anyways, here is a condensed version of the last 6 months or so.
In January, I became the interim social media manager for a major tourism organization in southwest Saskatchewan, and since then it has become official.
I was overjoyed at the opportunity and the chance to explore more of our local tourism scene. This job, and my income from substitute teaching, should have finally made paying bills less stressful.
Then lockdown hit.
Substitute teaching was gone and I was unable to explore.
Thankfully, I could do a lot of my social media managing from home, and that’s pretty much what I did for March, April, May, and June.
I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I put a bra on over those 3 months!
In June, I was able to hit the road and start safely promoting some tourist attractions. Around this time, another job opportunity arose.

If you would have told me years ago that I would someday be a ferry operator, I would have laughed in your face. But it is seriously one of the best jobs I have ever had. I thought I would get a day here or there, but I have been quite busy!
Luckily, I have internet access out there and can work on my content creation and social media while manning the ferry. I spend the days or nights on the river surrounded by beauty and serenaded by coyotes and birds. It does my soul good!
Summer flew by with a lot of fun mini trips. I camped in Grasslands National Park, spent time hiking many trails in Cypress Hills Inter- provincial Park, tasted local beverages from coffee and wine, to craft beer from a new brewery. I went on a Cree walk and helped get some virtual audio tours off the ground.

During the Covid lockdown I did have a couple mini breakdowns. Mostly just of me feeling sorry for myself. But, overall, everything is just falling into place.
New opportunities are arising because of Covid. I have been working on some major projects that I am excited to eventually be able to share with you guys.
I am working with a great group of people and pushing myself ( with encouragement from these great people) to learn new skills.
Today I pulled 3 cards from my deck and it was great to see that my past was setting intentions, my present was trusting that I am supported by the universe and on the right path, and my future is wide open to opportunities beyond my imagination.
That may sound silly to some of you, but it resonates deeply with me. These past few years have been a journey.
If I am slacking on my blogging, it is because I am busy living the life that I have been working hard at creating.

Don’t get me wrong, my life is still a mess in other areas, but I am working at changing things that I do have control over. To support my goals of being the best that I can be, I also joined a new health business and have enjoyed building a team.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this quick catch up. I’d love for you to watch my Van Life series on YouTube. I am still hoping be more on top of that, but again, I have been busy!
I hope you all fared well throughout this crazy time in our part of history. What positive things came out of the lock down, for you?
Good on you for seeing the positives and we may not see them straight away but I realise I got more time with family, more time walking locally and more time to be creative 👌

Yes! I understand some people have gad a hard time, but also think slowing down was much needed for many people.
